God, wash my mind clean
from all the horrors in my life
the memories of my sordid past
of my damning youth

God, wash my heart clean
from all the bitterness it harbors
towards the ones who helped to
build the memories of yesteryear

God, wash my soul clean
from all of the stagnant disease
residing inside of me
so for once, I may know true peace
