Thrown Away Danseuse

Leave behind all she threw away
Her very self before her
And that of herself before
The past left on her path
So she can go on
The floor, the spot
That was once supposed to be her's
Is left empty and barren
Like an unwanted dream
The more she dances toward it
Her knots pull back tight
Something behind her keeping
Her bound to the past

She says to air
'Where is that one
Who danced with me there?
And together we'd won?
They held my spot
Then brought my undone?'

But little can she see
That her demise
Was not on he
Instead on her past
Was she herself
And herself she had cast
