The pit a pat of the fierce wind driven rain,
bouncing off, my obscured window pane.
An occasional lull which inadvertantly shows,
stately oaks standing gaunt without summer clothes.
The storm has subsided but the mists still remain,
in consequence of the great volume of rain.
For the robins and blackbirds the rain made their day,
as they search for the worms in the leafy debris
The sky has returned to a rare winter’s blue,
and the landscape returns to a more pleasant hue.
with sparrows and blue tits all starting to sing
they enhance and restore such a happy feeling
.

I love the way it feels after it has rained, there is so many peaceful feelings and thoughts.... I wish the world would just stay the way it is after a rain, the smells and sounds are a delight to my ears, and nose. Beautiful! Thankyou for entering my contest, and good luck!
