Depths of My Mind

Awakening to the sound of first snow
falling gently on the tin roof above,
Excitement forces me to rise quickly.
                      Caressing snowflakes touches my face
feelings of peace and contentment enter
                          Disorder shrouding my visions disappear.
Remembering the child inside of me now
making snow angels as I lay in the snow,
Life seemed so simple way back then.
Slowing down taking in the wonderous view of
dripping water from the eves of the roof,
Icicles form shapes in the frozen air quickly.
Knowing that winter will soon be upon us
giving time to slow down and reflect on,
Love that we take for granted all to often.
Finding some answers to questions I have
storing them inside until Iife slowed down
Solutions become abtainable within reach in
                                                                          the depths of my mind.

Nicely done. It fits perfect with what I am seeing right now. There is a blanket of beautiful new snow out there. Great job.
