He's ready to help Santa
deliver Christmas cheer,
listening for those sleigh bells
with hand up to his ear.
He's dressed to play the part
keenly searching in the sky,
for he wants to help all children
as they sleep on by and by.
Wondering why Santa's late
he knew he should have phoned,
as he shuffles to and fro
with the softest little moan.
"Come on Santa time to go
I want my presents too,
but if you're gonna be so late
you'll have the longest queue!
I've been so good all through the year
my mum will tell you so,
sent you my list of presents
that on me you can bestow.
I'm dressed and ready to do my part
giving others Christmas cheer,
so come on Santa hurry up
'cos I've been waiting one whole year!!"
