Silence Creeps

A thought deep in mind
Memories of the past
A lifetime of expression
A room full of silence
No rest for the user
No end to the circle
A dash of contentment
A pound of regret
Lost in the shuffle
Forgotten by most
The silence is so loud
Poetry at night
When sleep is unabtainable
Not even the dark
Can send in the slumber
Creeping down the hallways
Not to make a noise
They all rest peacefully
While I walk the floor
Send me a reason
Tell me a lie
Put me back
In the land of the normal
Help shut my eyes
Dreams are my salvation
Yet silence creeps

Please tell me what you think

    WONDERFUL!!!!

Oh how that lonliness can keep you awake and uneasy! The sweet dreams of contentment are so hard to come by at times.

    Silence can be deafening...

So can the lonliness... great job!!! You always manage to pull off a new spin on life's profound imagery. As they say, keep it flowing...

The reason for the angst, my friend

Is because the message you send

Does not rhyme, does not rhyme

This is why you're down this time

A cry out of desperation. Very thought provoking piece you have penned here. A mix of feelings giving us the ingredients to let our souls free to roam in the lines of poetry. Liked "the silence is so loud, Poetry at night". Don't we all spend our nighttime trying to wrap our thoughts in meaningless words?

    Excellent write!

You have penned the "silence" with a quill that begs for rest. When all is quiet our minds tend to meander, and for the poet, inspiration, and exquisite musing, as you have written here. My insomnia makes blaring noises on many nights. An excellent example of night thought!

    Much Love ♥
