The struggle inside,
heart verses reason,
is clouded by lust,
desperately pleasin'.
Wicked works are there.
Who can resist?
Can a man be sure?
Know that heaven exist?
It begs the question.

Powerful emotions
Wow, what a powerful statement. I never thought the heart was that bad. I usually use it for dreaming. I guess something different happens when you bring it to real life. This poem has deep emotion and deep pain within it. Yet there is wisdom from the pain, and hope as well. I hope when wisdom wins out, that you will know your heart and and be able to trust it.
Let wisdom inside
Yourself to guide
Dream forever, far and wide.
(It's just a little word acrostic, not my best form.)

I love the rhyme and rhythm, and especially that last line, which sets it off perfectly. My one critical comment would be that I think it should be "Know that heaven exists", plural instead of singular on the last word, although if that's intentional due to rhythm I apologize.

Oh, and I also love the message of the word acrostic.
Well penned,

Contest will be extended a week or so, I am not well and will likely be in the hotel for the sick and injured for a brief stay. Sorry guys. -
Many of my exes agree
Can love exist in a heart that is clouded and consumed by only desire? Thanks for entering! -
Ok
Thank you for telling me about the side thing it does make it sound off right. And only the one person who truely loves you will know it! -
I had to read twice and slow my thoughts around it. Whitch I would say most should do. To get the full meaning. Life is hard and no one said it was going to be easy. We have the question of life in front of us but do we anser or let it be? I think all make there own paths and heaven is what they make it. I am sorry so long. Love this
