my life is fragile like a pane of glass,
about to shatter any minute into crystal splinters.
they stab into my flesh, painful memories of the past
and try as i might, they will not detach from me.
hugging me, smothering me, in their anguishing embrace.
i'm choking, suffocating, from the wrath of my life.
or can i still call it that? my life?
or has it shattered too many times?
it's cracked and broken into tiny fragments,
seemingly impossible to mend.
Bleeding sorrow, melancholy, and woe.
will i always carry with me this unfortunate burden?
no, for i will fight. i will fight for my happiness.
i will fight to mend the slivers and pieces of my life together.

Wow...
It really brings images of shattered glass and dank surrow places... Good job!

Relationships are never easy. They seem to live only to breed joy from our body and pain from our hearts. Nice job.
