Things of the past no longer here,
Formers looking back from my mirror,
Lifeless memories from the past,
Haunt me as I paint my mask,
To the bar to drown my fear,
One more drink to hold back tears,
Still the memory remains,
My Violent past haunts my days.

Oh how the past does come to linger and wrap itself intot he recesses of our minds and lives. Pain never really goes away just changes.
