do not fit though we finagle
and work around the edges,
trade a corner for a couple
that look lighter in the middle
of this flimsy old card table
as the tedium gives way
to the dimming of the day.

This brings back memories for me. I used to be quite the puzzle junky until life presented itself and even more puzzling event
Great piece.
