The One Second Tick

In late December of 2,012
God got tired of the rat race
And its never ending battle
Between the races
To prove who was superior
Although they wouldn't admit it
So The Earth stopped rotating for 1 second

And then resumed at normal speed
God is merciful and kind
You see there was no time
For weeping and fear
And gnashing of teeth
The whirlwind of futility
Was gone in a wink

And then resumed at normal speed
People went through walls
Over 1,000 miles and hour
Entire buildings disintegrated
Huge tidal waves were formed
And our dear mother nature
Was put out of her misery
To begin again
On a more happy note!

(You should be happy I wrote
this poem because nothing I have
ever thought about has come true)
