Fire learned to be adaptive,
It now takes more than one captive.
Passion burns us deep inside.
All the things we tried to hide;
Nothing is safe from this glow,
As the fire still does grow.
Fire learned to be adaptive,
It now takes more than one captive.

Nice. I like fire. I like to think that those who trust in the fire get licked, those who fear get burnt. I'm wrong, but I'm happy with that

Thank you for your entry
Well done on the prompt for this contest. Nice imagery and good flow.
The form was done well, the rhyme scheme was developed well and the syllable count was off by one syllable in the first line. Below is the breakdown.
"Fire learned to be a-dap-tive," = Seven
I encourage you to keep writing read and comment.
God Bless
Tammy
