They were there on sale, I was told
Where those wild flowers grow,
Decked in colors many, some in gold,
Shimmering with the flakes of snow..
Were some in black and some in white
Charming, subtle, delicate and light ~
The dreams were there on sale
In a beautiful garden in that vale'
In a grand display beneath the skies so blue
Charming, subtle, delicate and light,
There I saw some fairies too
And thus I knew, the tales were all just right;
Mermaids few, amidst the glistening pearls
And muses nine, like jolly, little girls..
"How much should I pay", I asked; in sublime
tones, they spoke in a rhyme..
As you like, you may pay
By love or by thoughts or by words you say..
You may bring some flowers, you saw on the way
Or an abandoned shell, you picked from the bay,
You may wish on a star in the night skies, grey
Or ask aloud.. to the fairies who stray..
We shall be glad, to share them with you
Dreams are precious, rare and true.."
I bought some dreams, by wishing aloud
And felt the feel of a floating cloud;
I liked them all, the sellers and the dreams they sold
Some in black, some in white and some in gold..
