Hear a whisper in a rainbow
colours start to cry
a songbird in lament
plummets from the sky.
Glisten in a teardrop
catch a sad refrain
paint my dreams with grey
hide them in the rain.
Together going nowhere
destiny's unseen
let me fly with wings
that beat with what has been.
See the rainbow tumble
splinter into loss
deny the lovers faith
hang it from the cross.
