You spoke those words so softly
Like a nightingale’s song
So sweet, so beautiful and so touching
My heart ached, longed to hear more
My emotions melted as did my mind
As it tried to comprehend your wishes
Your touch so sweet, soft on my face
Seared into my very soul as it rejoiced
Love flooded over me so swiftly
Like a warm blanket on a cool night
Filling me with unknown emotions
Never before have I known such bliss
My heart pounding within my breast
Daring not to breathe, lest I break the spell
I need you to hold me, to tell me its true
That our love will last till the end of time
