Angels Punishment

Circling above
All the regrets from  her past
Engulfing
Suffocating

Deep inside
Is the scar hidden beneath the surface
As she hides away her face

What lies behind
Are blackened wings
Feathered and torn
Broken and sore
Covered in grime
Holding her down
As she tries to fly

Away

With a heavy heart
She slips deep beneath the surface
Drowning
In the stale, stagnant waters

Fragrant are the memories
Of daisies and roses
Spring frolics
And
Summer love

The starlight grows faint
As she sinks further below

She reaches out
Fingers needing to break the surface
To feel the cool breeze
Drench her pale white tips
As she prays
Prays to Gods unknown
To amble on
Through the rest of this misery

This was totally amazing to read.. Was drawn in from the very first line and fell deeper and deeper with each one that followed.

This is what I call "penned to perfection"; I love how dark and deep you wrote this. Each line took me in deeper and deeper into your world and I am truly amazed by this piece. Exactly, what I was looking for in this round. I think that your use of the word bank that was given and the title worked really well together.

Thank you for taking part in my challenge. I truly have enjoyed reading your entries and wish you the best of luck in this final round.

A very sorrow filled piece, great use of the word bank. A heavy air of longing surrounds this, very well penned. Good luck
