Eternal Poet - For Repomen79

Sifting through your pages
And pages of poetry.
Reading randomly,
And attempting
To ferret out
Those that were meant for me.
Never having forgotten
The Loving soul
That still, in death,
Shines upon us all,
Yet reminded so vividly
In your enrapturing poetry
Leaves me feeling more
Of our loss.

Kindness, comfort
And generosity
As yet unequalled.
A pen & poet
Never still
With such a gift
As to make us feel
Loved in a grace
That defies time & space.

Known but for the briefest
Of seasons,
Gone within a blink,
It’ll take more than all eternity
To lose your Love,
I do think.

Author notes

Patrick, you continue to be the greatest giver of grace & Love, and now in your death we see how we can live on, through eternity. You are remembered by many, many, many souls with the greatest Love & affection.

Friend, you are missed.

To those of you who have not heard of him, trust me when I say it will be well worth your time to stop by his page and read. You won't regret it. Give him a read!

This makes me think of my brother who died a few years ago. He wasn't a poet, but the sentiment is there. I can feel your love for your friend in this. Wonderful, i say.

    Outstanding

This is a lovely tribute to a fellow poet and one who meant so much to you. I will certainly take the time to check out some of his poetry. Your words are very beautiful. I'm sure he would have loved this poem.
