Kundalini

The snake stirs
Slowly unwinding
Gracefully
Gently
Sacred Kundalini
Red is his colour
The colour of blood exposed to sunlight
He is passion rising like magma from within the sacred chamber of the volcano
Pulsing emotions spin like a whirring top
Body changing in intensity
The snake strikes
Passion exploding
The snake settles in restful contemplation

Loved your title and how it fits the poem so well... There's something about longing and emotions like jealousy, rage, etc which are reffered to as a snake uncoiling in one's belly; in Indian culture. You have put this together splendidly!
    Great write! B' luck!
    peace.

    Great interpretation of the subject.

I didn't get the connection at first, until I went to wikipedia to look up "Kundalini." In terms of Tantric Yoga your rendering in this poem is fabulous.

    Great write. Very illuminating .
