What words are there to say
after you have gone.
There are none
not yet.
But in time
good memories
come flooding back
a part of you stays here
inside.
My heart hurts
but will heal.
Knowing that you
helped me in life
and I feel you
telling me it’s ok…
helping me again
as you float by on
angel wings.

so sad. i know what it is like to lose a loved one. it is hard to come to that point where you can just appreciate those memories but you are right - that point does come. sweetly expressed.

An incredibly sweet, powerful, and touching poem!It has depth and a soul of its own!I can feel the emotions pouring out of your heart...they are the exact same feelings that I am experiencing at this very moment. I'm very depressed right now because a dearly beloved person in my life has vowed to take his own life!I tried but was unable to change his mind or even find out if he is ok and whether or not he went through with it.He said he wants to become my guardian angel so he can protect me and so he can escape the pain and torture he's suffered on a daily basis since birth. His own mother tried to kill him before he was even born and though I told him he is a miracle he wouldn't believe me.He thinks he's a mistake and that the world will be better off without him.A hopeless pessimist is the saddest kind of person to have in your life.I've helped so many people in my life through volunteer work and giving free advice, but now I feel as though I have failed at my life's purpose of helping others because I have not succeeded at saving or helping everyone that needed my help.Thank you for this poem!It makes me feel somewhat better to know that I am not the only one who has had to suffer such loss.We can be here to comfort one another and tell the stories of our lost loved ones.-Blessed Be

Wow! This is so beautiful, but also so sad. It is a great feeling to know that a loved one is still with you in spirit after they have passed. To know we are being lovingly guided is a wonderful feeling. Nice job on this poem. Blessings, Patty

Thanks
Thanks Patty, I wrote this as my Step Mom's mother recently passed away so I thought if I wrote, it would help with the healing. All the best Neet x
