My Darling
Kissing you last night beneath the stars
I swear for a moment
they were shining brighter just for us
I still chuckle when remembering the old couple who
stopped us on the sidewalk as they laughed,
saying "it must be love"
We were standing there, kissing beneath the streetlight
both of us oblivious to the chill in the air
I will forever cherish the time we spent
together
It was a wonderful birthday
in those precious few hours my heart escaped
and melted into yours
together our souls danced
The love we made was so perfect
in your arms I long to stay
But we both know the consequences of being caught
Keep the rose for me, my love
It was kissed by the lips that last tasted yours
and watered by tears my heart now cries
Until our next rendevou
I love you!
