When the songbird
in your garden
sings for nobody
but you.
When a child’s hand
fits your own,
like lifes’ jigsaw
gently slotting into place.
When a stranger
passing by
smiles at you
without a reason.
When loving arms
embracing
really do
take away the pain.
When you catch
the first snowflake
softly
on your tongue.
When a wish
really does come true………
For all these things
I am thankful.
