Ego Dilecto Meo

Missing image

with Latin translation

****

I  introduce to you, my beloved, who, as a tranquil lake, is significantly blessed as a memory, and like all of you,  creates the accompaniment of poets you are.

Love is defined this time as one not to be superseded, but I would like therefore, to have it reinvent itself than my disipating long distance love. In fact, the idea came that I should use it humbly as a whole new precept.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Of course, many of you have really been special to me, it's almost symbolic of the lake itself, and tranquil at that. It symbolises my being with you at allpoetry.com as a whole....
An excerpt from my book, 'Eos', and especially for you all, those who have now been affixed on tow in togetherness, where there is a harvest of social chapters,  made up of those who have made my time here very special, first as Titus, then as 'William Shakespeare', I include you all in this harmony or as time goes by, the spirit of things. This is of course quoted as, "The River of Peace'.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

quote; " "

Many waters are you all---- and unfathomed depths your skills.
Petals all, your poems and divinity your thoughts and the complex methods of my writing, loves you unconditionally-
Please enjoy this submission, to all, known or unknown to me.
You will indeed live for always in a book which I shall assure you will remain unpublished.
Profound in a complex kind of way, showing a somewhat dignified method of writing that only small reads will benefit.

I hope you'll enjoy.

'But I say to you my Friends'

****

I to my beloved
And in the evening of the Sabbath,
which dawns in the first day of the week
I will bring upon it, as if it were a river of peace
That many waters cannot quench its charity,
And neither can the floods drown it
O how great is the multitude of Thy sweetness
People whom God had purchased,
Declare their virtues, from a messenger
Which came from the Virgin court,
Unveiling divine secrets;
Our souls hath been delivered as a sparrow
From the snare of the fowlers
Hear instruction and be wise, and refuse it not.
But I say to you my friends:
May this mystical oblation avail us
I to my beloved
And my beloved to me
Who feedeth amongst the lilies
That we who have received the mysteries
Of thy body and blood may put off the pride
And vanity of the world and be found worthy
To me, Thy friends are exceedingly honourable;
Their principality is exceedingly strengthened.
Take heed therefore that the light
Which is in thee is not darkness;
The whole shall be lightsome,
And as a bright lamp, shall enlighten thee.
Their sounds send forth into all the earth;
And their words to the ends of the world.

Vespere auten sabbati
quae lucescit in promin sabati;
Declinabo super eum quasi
Fluvium qui seminant in lacrimis,
in gaudio metent - Aquae multae-
Non potuerunt exstinguere caritatem,
Nec flumina obruent illam;
Quam magna multitude dulcedinis tuae,
Coelestis aulae Nuntius, arcane pandens
Anima nostra sicut passer,
erepta est de laqueo venantium:
dico auten vobis amicis mels:
Mystica nobis Domine –
Ego dilecto meo:
Et dilectus meus mihi
Qui pascitur inter lilia
Mihi auten nimis honorati sunt amici tui,
nimis confortatus est principatus eorum.
Si ergo corpus tuum totum lucidum fuerit non
habens aliquam partem tenebrarum,
erit lucidum totum;
et sicut lucerna fulgoris illuminabit te.
In omnem terram exivit sonus eorum:
Et in fines orbis terrrae verba eorum.

    Cool idea to have the Latin translation there as well. I dunno why, it strikes me as romantic in a way. Love this, well done.

    I love it Tony.
    This is a masterpiece,
    and from you I know it wasn't just something you threw together. Besides, I love Latin spoken, the one thing I loved about going to mass when I was a girl.
    May this mystical oblation avail us
    I to my beloved
    And my beloved to me
    Who feedeth amongst the lilies
    That we who have received the mysteries
    Of thy body and blood may put off the pride
    And vanity of the world and be found worthy
    To me, Thy friends are exceedingly honourable;
    Their principality is exceedingly strengthened.

    Beautiful. . .(feedeth?)
    Love,
    Jin
