I wake up every morning
on a bed I get to sleep on
i'm a lucky girl I must say
with luxuries from beyond
I'm grateful for the earth under my feet
i'm grateful for the trees
that help me breathe a new life everyday
with a calm and gentle breeze
Thank you God for the food I consume
and for the clean water I can drink
Thank you for the people around me
and for giving me the ability to think
Thank you for the roof my parents provide me,
the bright sky and the noisy crowds
Thank you for the rain that comes once a while
and for the sun shining through the clouds
There is nothing more I could ask for
but something i'd like to give
my thanks to you oh Lord-the generous
for giving me this life to live
