The closer to one we become
the harder it is for me to tear myself away.
The more I get to know you
and all you little quirks,
the more I long to be with you.
Easily falling back into a pattern
of seeing you every day.
Not seeing you for weeks at at time
is just too cruel.
I knew it would be hard
and yet I just couldn't tear myself away.
I love your smile,
it brightens up my day.
Your touch, so soothing.
Loving you brings tears to my eyes.
My heart crying out, it's not fair.
The fact that we'll be together soon
is what keeps me sane
on those long rainy days when
I only long too be with you.

this poem is full of emotion and in such a direct way that it really takes the reader in and makes them feel like their drifting through a long, endless, empty, very lonely tunnel that seems to just lead into the depths of the writers heart.
