I an walking on the sand
barefoot, no cares,
just beside hard
rolling waves
that keep bumping
into my jeans and feet
each time I take a step.
The sharp points of shells
stick out and prick my feet.
The seaweed washed ashore
is oh, so very ticklish.
The wind is so strong,
the sand blows in my eyes
and my hair tangles
slowly round my face.
The red sun sets
before my dark eyes
big and huge
reluctantly going down.
Black crows crow noisily
forming an arc in the sky.
The moon has now risen up
along with the shining stars.
It is now very late
and the stars whisper to me:
"It's late now... go home Jahnavi."

Memories
A very well written piece very descriptive.
Brought back memories when I lived in Maryland and we would walk along the Chesapeak and experience all the things you have written about.
Thanks for sharing and the best of luck.
