Forgive, oh yes we all
make mistakes.
Learning our lessons
that's part of the
eternal process.
Forget, oh no, blissful
ignorance can only
bring more of the same.
Disrupts the process.
Let go? No, I move forward
with better knowledge of
who I am, how I got here.
No other can hold
my akashic record.
I alone am privy to this.
You alone are privy to yours.
Take it with you,
for it made you who you are.
Will we meet again?
Perhaps. Perhaps not.
That's not up to us.

A great lesson, learned no doubt through a good deal of suffering; well-written, and kind of you to share with us. I've often thought the opposite -- I may forget you, but I won't forgive until the grave! Doesn't really work though! Lovely writing.

To forgive is not to forget...
It is not always easy to forgive, but I can. It is impossible to forget and I can't. I will take my akashic record and hope that I feel, understand and learn but I will remember the bad as well as the good..
Wonderful poem which sinks so deep into my mind and thus my thoughts.

Hello. I agree with the sentiments of this write, certainly to forgive, although hard at times to do; but we are also forgiving ourselves as well in a way, and to live in peace. Perhaps peace comes when we follow the highest ideals within our soul, and the pain comes from the fake us (flesh/ego) not wanting to forgive. Nice to see the Akashic Records get a mention, don't see it mentioned enough, hahaa. My regards.

Good thoughts.

it is so easy to say "I forgive" yet so difficult to forget. Often we serve up one's mistakes for their breakfast as someone said.
beautiful write and again, I'm so happy to see you back
I've always loved that background ... how do you do it? -
Very rich in wisdom...
I find this write timely in a personal manner.
I also like the astute answering display.
I'm so happy to have read this today. Blue
