Life's treasures

Treasure is in your children's smiles, its in every thing they do.
Treasure is the golden miles uniting me and you.

Treasure is the love you give, a hug, a smile, a kiss,
Treasure is a special thing that holds a loving wish.

Treasure can be found in side two hearts that beat as one,
Treasure is the love we've shared since time has begun.

Treasure is not a object, not something you can buy,
Treasure is the pain you feel when a loved one says goodbye.

Treasure is the happiness shining through your eyes,
Treasure is the sadness, we feel when we cry.

Treasure is every single emotion, that a person could ever feel,
So if you find somebodies treasure, then return it because its real.

Aw.. very sweet. I liked some of the lines, but the repetition didn't work for me.

I liked the first and second stanza especially

    Heartfelt

Your poem is heartfelt. It is a great poem but I don't like this line:
Treasure is the pain you feel when a loved one says goodbye.

because we shouldn't treasure some one we love leaving us. So my main suggestion is be careful of lines like that or lines that are worded poorly. Besides that I really enjoyed your poem.

This is a gorgeous write. I love this reocccurring theme of treasure and what it means to you - your exploration of it teaches you a lot about love and life. Such sweet and tender words, and a lovely rhyming scheme. Thanks for entering the contest

These are some beautiful treasures of life and sometimes we forget the good things as we focus so much on the negatives, which really is a shame because there are some beautiful things in the world for us to enjoy and marvel at, we just don't take the time to see them truth the turmoils.

This is nice. I thought you were going to go into depth about one aspect we might name as treasure, but you started writing about different dimensions of the word. I like that, it kept me interested. This is very sweet, and it reminds me of something you'd see for mother's day, or a sparkly Hallmark card speaking of thankfulness.
"Treasure is every single emotion, that a person could ever feel,
So if you find somebodies treasure, then return it because its real. "
These lines sum up your poem very well, and they refer back to the title nicely. I like that.
Thanks for sharing and entering the contest. Much appreciated.

Yes, I like it. It got me thinking about the things mentioned - small stuff rather than the bigger stuff.

wow, this is awesome, I really love it. I love your thinking on this, it's so true. People are so wrapped up in material things these days they forget what the real treasures in life are.

bloody good job, keep them coming, I'll be back!

Yes this is just gorgeous! I felt the repetition worked well here too. An excellent poem, but way over the word limit. But I think you deserve some clappies

Beautiful. The repitition works well, although the last stanza, especially the last line, doesn't quite work for me. Also, you could take out the first comma in the second to last line.

    Overall, nice job.
