Call to Arms

Those who start wars see it as a contest. A contest between them and those they detest. They send their civilians off to war.

Then write their families off as pests. They heightened the cause for war until the country gets obsessed. But no one knows it’s just a pretense to see which countries best.

Who has the bigger army? And how much weapons they possess. But after they win the war

Their soldiers go home depressed. But the image they see in the mirror. Is the person that they come to detest.

Their government does not care for those who have died. Nor do they care for the rest. There's no concern for those who come to protest.

It’s like trying to speak to the deaf. And trying to get it through their skulls. That war does not determine who is right. War only determines who is left.
