of mistreatment
and you blinked
even before the change
in air pressure reached your silence
a knee-jerk reaction to
conditioned anticipation of
battle, finally lost
Author notes
Classical (or Pavlovian) Conditioning: CS + US => UR; then CS => CR. An unconditioned stimulus (US) leads to an unconditioned response (UR), an association is learnt between the conditioned stimulus (CS) and the US so that the CS becomes a predictor of the US; this results in a conditioned response (CR) which is an anticipatory response to the US.

It's not hard to tell who wrote this...and I'm glad you did. It opened with a bang and I appreciated it. I absolutely loved this and was disappointed that it had to end. This isn't as bad as you thought it was. Cheers

100th HOODWINKED
A good poem to explain conditioned responses and failure that sets in before something has even been tried. You explained it well.

That AN left me...
well, rather confused.
Nice personification in first stanza
I think doors have minds of their owns...like when they smack you when you pass by.
"even before the change
in air pressure reached your silence"
Me gusta...
mucho.
It's just groovy and unique, and air pressure is kind of freaking loud, so cool jux with silence.
Do you need the 'the' in the second-to-last line?? the article word feels slightly unneeded...

Sorry about the AN
but I thought that someone would ask me what I was on about and I wanted to jump in first
... thank you for liking this
and no, the article was not needed, it jumped in while my attention was elsewhere
