Like clay in a potter’s hands
incline me, Master Weaver,
a humble thread
to be woven into your plan.
For only You, Dear Lord, can
weave me beautiful in Your design.
Store my thread in Your closet
that I my learn the value of patients.
In darkness I grow in
faith, hope and yearning
for Your Love.
Take me out when it pleases you.
Roll me into a ball
tight in Your fist
that I may not become
a tangled web.
Color me yellow for the child
trusting and loving unconditionally.
Let age deepen me golden
for Your wisdom and knowledge
which sustains me.
Weave me when and as you will
that I might have share
in all Virtues colors.
Hold my thread taut so
I may not fray or stray.
Weave me as one,
Dear Lord,
into Your
Eternal
Tapestry.
Amen.

We are given free will in order to shape ourselves in an immaculate image and hope to honor the Creator with our evolution of spirit. I've always liked the saying, "Life is God's gift to us - what we do with it is our gift to Him." Congratulations on winning the gold trophy with this finely-woven spiritual piece. Good luck in the contest, Poet.

Awesome surrendering...
Oh, goodness. How beautiful and complete. The heart of the child is at this one. After His own heart.
Love the title..uh huh!......It sings!
A prayer that needs nothing added. Beautiful!
"Weave me when and as you will
that I might have share
in all Virtues colors.
Hold my thread taut so
I may not fray or stray."
I like the taping in the end stanza. Like the smallest vapor becomes the complete hydration, the exposure of the remnant of Israel.
Thank you for gracing us with this well written anthem of love.
*I do not think it needs all the punctuation..it flys!"

Very beautiful. Considering I am an Upholsterer by trade and work with interior designers all day long, I know a thing or two about tapestries. Some of the most beautiful fabrics we work with are tapestries in the interior business. No matter how pretty they are, when put in the right hands and carefully formed around a nice piece of furniture, it takes on a whole new meaning. Reading this particular work reminds me of the old gospel song talking about the selling an old worn out fiddle at an auction. It was receiving no bids at all and everyone was judging it strictly by it's looks until someone came up from the back of the room and playing the most beautiful tune on it. Suddenly, the bids started coming from every direction possible and what was before seeming worthless was now extremely valuable....."The Master's Hand".
Long time no see Mary, but I see you are still in the business of turning out exceptional work.

Thank you Wayne, I do love to go into an upholstery warehouse. We have one in San Diego, CA, called UFO. Upolstery Fabric Outlet. I'll spend hours looking at all the different weaves and tapestry designs. Gets my creative juices going.
Love the gospel story you shared. Thank you.
Yes, it's been awhile since I've beenf active on this site. We moved from our home town and now live in Colorado. Our son wanted his dad to help him start up a business here in Grand Junction. In the process we lived in a hotel for over a year before purchasing a home and then another seven months to refurbish it. The home we purchased was gutted when we bought it. Took a while before the computer got put into action, but I'm back.
So good to hear from you.
