Regretful Heart

 

 

  

 

I sit here in agony

lost in my frustrations and regrets

I know that what I did was wrong

I should have been there for you

 

you always told me

how much you loved me

your words were always so sincere

I'm sorry that I never said the same

 

I never took the time to see

just how much you were trying to reach me

I took you for granted everyday

never acknowledging your loving heart

 

I'll never be the same without you here

and I know that I don't deserve you

I hope that you find someone

who will love you unconditionally

 

I thank you for all that you've done

and I am sorry for neglecting your heart

I hope that in time you will forgive me

though I know that I don't deserve that either

 

I wish you well in all that you do

and wherever this life takes you

I hope that you will find the tranquility

    You know i have already commented on this one time but i was looking through and i saw it and i re read it now it means more to me now than it ever did , I read this just now and the tears just started streaming down my cheeks. Every word you wrote/typed in this piece is true and it spoke to me on so many levels and it was like he was talking to me like these words came straight from his mouth. You don't even realize how much this poem means to me right now.

    It can be hard, whether you be on the end this person's on, or the other end, or maybe all of us are on both. We reach out to those we love, but sometimes that love we show recieves no response, at least not the one we hope for.
