Pain Withheld

Such soulful eyes
painted with pain,
A loss never to be
retrieved again

Troy sits and thinks about his past
and what may lie ahead,
It's early hours of the morn,
Too many thoughts churning for bed

At day he may put on a front
for family and friends,
The nights so long almost bring tears
yet he refuses to bend

Far away in a place none know
he holds his thoughts inside,
Yet he will not let his tears fall
although he feels he's died

Very good poem. I just wrote my poem titled "My Pain." It's a sad poem but it's worth it.
