You breath regularly,
I steal a kiss as your eyes close.
It still tastes the same,
Tastes like me.
Your heart beat is slowing,
I hate the shuddering when I touch you.
But you have no way of knowing,
That it's only me.
I have been gone a long time,
I wonder if you gave up.
Would you still say you are mine?
If you knew I was here?
I used to be in a hole in the ground,
Content in my isolation and blindness.
But then I heard a new sound,
And I remembered.
I remembered strolls through the starlight,
And picnics in the shade.
I remember you were so, right.
How could I have been so wrong.
I am cold now,
Colder than the vital you.
I am cold now,
But not in my heart.
I want to be real again,
To be real for you.
Hiding from the eyes of men,
This is the only time I can see you.
I kiss your lips again,
I have to keep your taste in my mind.
To my surprise, you kiss me back,
And I open my eyes.
Terror is what I feel first,
When I meet your gaze.
Then a small spark of hope,
Maybe I can be real for you again.
Your hand lightly grazes my cheek,
and I sigh away my troubles.
You begin to speak,
Your whisper cuts my heart.

Amazing!!
Very dark, but the darknes makes it better. Reminds us that love isn't always easy. In fact, sometimes it hurts when it is so strong you don't know what to do with yourself.
