Purify Me

Purify me,
bring to me
all the goodness
you bestow

purify me

wash me in your love
and cleans my soul

breath into me
the breath of life
and fill this heart
to overflow

for you are the purest
form of beauty
that I know

Purify me

Author notes

Once again I was a moment too late to submit for a contest, the first 10 words of this poem were inspired by a picture prompt contest.

Thank you for your wonderful comments. The first 10 words of this were inspired by a crystal clear droplet of water, and since I didnt make the contest deadline, I finished it and it took on a whole different meaning. I do like the way this turned out.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment, as in the authors notes the first 10 words were for a picture prompt which was a pure drop of water splashing back up and this piece, pretty much wrote itself once i got past the first 10 words. As always your thoughtfulness and support are always appreciated.

Well, I am so glad you post these "contest-less" works -- they are so precise and concise -- with the simplest of words you pull us into your obsession/love with this beautiful person(?).. and leave us to insert our own interpretive details... a wonderful work.
