watermelon pinks,
lemon yellow
green that stinks
black licorice
some multi-colored flakes,
cover grounds
like snow-cone mistakes
global warming’s
or just nature’s quirk,
delight first time viewers
who grab camera’s that work
so much that’s unreal
we just can‘t conceive,
earth’s wonders
for all to perceive
Author notes
I counted the hyphenated words as two words
50 words
I left out a lot of my usual punctuation on this - felt it read better without all the comma's.
In many parts of the world, snow isn't white. In the alpine regions of Colorado, it is pink - and they say tastes like watermelon! Sometimes the coloring is just a phenomenon of nature, other times it could be volcanic ash in the air. Many times it algae.....
wish I could see the colored snow! how cool!!

Thanks 'stories' - glad you enjoyed.
Snow does come in colors - this write is factual! I guess it can be seen in almost all of the colors - some due to pollutants in the air, some due to fungae - but I'd kind of like to see a color - just once....lol

Thank you 'mountain-woman' - glad you enjoyed.
Probably most of us have never seen anything but white snow. I'm always in shock, MOL, when I realize how very little I know about our planet and life itself.

Wacky with serious undertones
You've taken a serious issue and combined it with levity to make a persuasive statement... Really well done.
