Hopeless Hope?

The night draws ever closer,
Another day comes to an end,
Yet tomorrow should bring something,
My heart can no longer defend.

The hope and trust is hanging,
Waiting to be confirmed,
As the thread gets ever thinner,
Will the truth ever be learned?

I need to know the answers,
Before I put this to rest,
I've been so many emotions,
The bad, the ugly, the best.

What is it that holds you,
Stops you from giving in,
Prevents you from moving on,
Until happiness can't win.

I wish i had a bottle,
That held each tear that fell,
I'd watch the level rising,
Untill the end of this carousel.

I've drawn a line,
At least I had,
And now I've moved it,
We all know I'm mad.

But hope holds tight,
And the night draws in,
Surely I can't just forget this,
But can I ever win?

I need to give it time,
The kind that can't be post-poned,
To let this story develop,
Untill I truely know.

Its the mystery that kills me,
But yet it keeps me in suspense,
Of the thing I lust so impatiently,
The swelling inside gets intense.

If I were a princess,
Would it be you who were my prince,
Would you be sent to save me,
And we live Happily ever after since.

If this were a fairytale,
Would it happen the same way,
I know pain makes us stronger,
But it gets harder everyday.

Everything happens for a reason,
I guess I just don't know it yet,
So i'll sit here waiting patiently,
And pray that I don't forget.

Please tell me what you think

This is such a great piece. It's funny how your work always seems to be speaking to where I am at the moment. We must be in similar stages of a relationship. Keep up the good work!
