Behind stone walls
black silk swishes venom
tainting words with pillaged promises.
Shadows dance in scarlet flames;
ghosts among ruins.
Carved images celebrate
where practice begins.
How I swallow whole
your depth of being
consuming eagerly
for promises
care
and tender touches.
My realization comes with a price.
Ice forms where ripples once moved
tears solid as death
in the breath of deceit.
