Crossing river of tears

Placing woodcuts side by side.
Thick ropes being tied,
Connecting the two cliffs of coming & gone.

I’ll cross over the river of sadness,
                                                    I cried.
Reaching the other side.

    indeed-for

One must first wade up to their neck
    in the river of sadness

    To ever understand how to
wade in the brook of joy.

I like the imagery of this poem - the bridge connecting times "coming" and "gone" was a really nice take on the prompt and I'm glad that it ended with you reaching the other side!

    Thank you for entering

    LOVELY!!!

This road of sorrow is so hard to travel but when we come to a fearsome and devastating chasm we do find the courage to build a bridge to cross one piece at a time.'s
