Battle Cry

Be quick my boys, be randy with the axes and the lance,
don't be a thinkin' of them rogues, nor even give a glance
They won't be thinkin' of your loves, waitin'back at home
they won't be carin' if you die, or live today to roam
back to the homelands far away, where hearth and fire will be
so, keep clear eye in battle and prevail triumphantly

The captain stood before the mast, broadsword in gauntlet hand
and as the foe hove into view he gave the last command,
go on my boys, be not afraid, for Lourdes waits for the brave,
though some of us may not come home, we won't rot in the grave
We will remember those who fall, hail their name in song,
so fight today be not afraid, be noble and be strong.

And, sure they did, those buccaneers in male and leather clad
they did deliver up a fight that would make hearts be glad,
of all the ladies waiting there, back in their villages
and so it was they took the day, and rich their pillages,
they turned toward home the fightin' done, turned into the gale
they left the vanquished quakin', fearin' those who rode the sail.
