Ritualistic Love

the silvered light pierces my skin
hooking my soul
drawing me in

I am like the tides
when she is risen to her fullest
I become one with her

alive, vibrant,
I succumb to her power and
she flows through my veins

she dispels the shadows
they flee in her presence
in awe of her radiance

I dance in her beauty
as free as the air
as fluid as the ocean
caressed by her love

naked, I twist and turn
she kisses my body
with her gentle lips

our ritual once more

This is so simply lovely that I don't think I have words to express how it makes me feel. Why is it that the Moon is such a powerful image for us poets? I love this "ritual"!

This was a delight to read.
From start to finish, I loved it.
Taking special note on lines 10-12, very beautiful. Thanks for sharing

Ooh. I love how you made my image a border. Looks so lovely. A beautiful free verse only, you used the phrase in the poem...

Still, it is beautifully written. LIne breaks are pretty good too, just the right pauses in all the right places.

Feel free to tweak that third to the last line. I will be back to read this beauty again.

    So smooth

A quiet ocean wave. As the water recedes you hear that shooosh... on the beach the sands dance back toward the waterline kissing each other. That's the music that they have for us and they don't even know or care. Quite a lovely lyric. -c
