Strangers yearning
to belong,
be something more
than lonely.
I have jade Venus eyes
set in a desert landscape.
He was not a simple man
a complicated tangle.
Smoldering fires
kindled silent hunger
waiting impatiently.
"Just drive awhile" he said,
"Lets see where the road will take us".
Was this a test graded on a curve,
will I pass or fail?
To the south, was crowded city
to the west and east as well.
I looked north and headed for
the mountains of the moon.
Rising higher, pale crescent
finds twinned beams piercing the night.
Racing curves lined with pines
to the end of the road.
You don't know, oh you don't know
how I need to melt with you.
Silver your skin with my kiss
tracing lunar patterns.
Be careful for what you ask.
Moonlight is inclined
to give it.

There is such a soft gentleness in this piece and it spoke to me of younger days, captivated by the adventure of it all.
I loved such descriptive lines as "you don't know how I need to melt with you, silver your skin with my kiss, tracing lunar patterns"
Simply beautiful and captivating, as moonlight and lovers.
Excellent work. I enjoyed this very much. ~Pamela
