visons softly melt

slate grey sea now far from view

a good piece of poetry, ah fresh snow is nice, fluffy and soft, then it twists into black ice a lot of the time.

Oh yes, I like this one too! I think the middle line was the strongest - smoothly flowing and very visual.

    Very nice image.

I like the way you describe the sky; slate grey sea... The north is getting their own blinding. Wonderful.

Wonderfully concise and complete! Reminded me of the farm where I grew up, with the lake just down the hill; it was always lost when it snowed -- just another field. A great write.

Snow is foreign material to me. My home doesn't see snow at all and the sea is three or four hours away. Yet I love the snow covered landscapes I have seen. First snow would be a magical thing to view. An excellent poem with the haiku chain speaking volumes.

Beautifully written, descriptive, calm and peaceful somehow. I loved it.

small typo in the final stanza - 'fields'
