Missing image

Within precious dreams~

his smile warms my heart,

and I'm replete with joy.

 

I awake to disappointment,

until a hint of his scent comforts me.

 

Then for a moment~

I'm daddy's little girl again,

secure in his strong embrace.

    The first two stanzas suggested an abandoned lover, but the concluding stanza made perfect sense. Those of us blessed with nurturing fathers were showered with appropriate masculine love and affection from an early age. This enables us to have healthy mature relationships too. Peace, Liz
