Life IS full of surprises! You never know what is coming just around the corner. I love the adventure of life and I love the life lessons learned as well. I always say that even when life sucks...I still love it! It is in the hardest times that I have grown the most. Pam

I love this, someone once said to me: "You have imagination pouring from your ears" a close friend agreed and said "You must eat crayons or something, you have one colourful imagination" I can easily say I do but what good would it do? If we follow the road that never bends where is all excitment? If we walked along the train tracks that never led anywhere then where are we to go? If we ride the rollercoaster of life then will always end on a high...
I simply love the lines:
'Pick up your artist's brush
And paint your world as you wish.'
If only we could...we may hold the pens and the brushes but what ink we have left is wasted on war and robots.

I don't like free verse that much but really liked this one.
It brings hope and makes me feel better though we always have to remember that life is not always sweet and we can't draw our fate. We can't forget wars and pain. Tears have to be remembered, too.

Amazing, your imagery is fantastic. This poem got me thinking... lol that every second we start anew... my life now is not as it was a second ago as in one second the world is created and destroyed and the world i see before i close my eyes is entirely different when I open them... fascinating
I apologize for the rambling :-D this is a truly inspiring, fascinating poem with amazing imagery and a wonderful meaning.
Anyway I love the idea that we can "paint" (truly brilliant word choice) our lives as we go along turning them into our own fairytale.And that we can do anything we wish to if we put our minds to it and forge ahead... truly a thought provoking piece.
