the darkness

There it lies,
waiting,
thinking,
you cannot see it,
but it can see you.

All-knowing and powerful,
it awaits it's prey,
knowing it will do,
no harm,
but the prey will,
when the darkness,
is inside it's head,
it will slaughter with a strange sort of calm,

the prey will have it's mind enslaved,
and it's insight clouded by dark,
it will become angry,
and turn on it's friends,
for the darkness is playing it's part,

the prey is a human,
so pompous and cruel,
but the darkness will soon see to that,
the human walks,
while the darkness controls,
the human,is caught in a trap,

the human's at home,
and is greeted by wife,
but she is swatted away by a slap,
the darkness is cruel,
while the wife's on the floor,
and into her face the man spat,

"you are a dreadful being,
you lack any meaning,
but now, of you i'll be rid,"
the darkness enjoys this,
making this man,
desroy his,
loving, caring, wife,

now the darkness leaves,
the human to scream,
as he has destroyed the thing that he loved,
his guilt overflows,
his head is hung low,
while the darkness, watches,
from above,

it sees what it's done,
and thought it was fun,
but now seems truly despicable,
the darkness is shamed,
it's the end of the game,
never again, shall the darkness,
be evil
