time

i have watched while people have passed me by
have waved goodbye with tears in my eyes
i have stayed behind while others have left
never felt burdened and never complained

i have looked up at the same sky every night
stayed in one spot for all the right reasons
i have wonder in thought to the world outside
but never have voiced a desire to leave

i've been waiting for something
until now i wasn't sure
what that something was
till you showed me your world

you brought me alive inside and out
with every word that you ever spoke
the place's described the wonders told
you drew me within and gave me glimpse

all tho it scares me to leave all of this
the one place i've always felt comfortable
to leave all behind and start over fresh
is frighting and exciting at the same time
