arise

I arise with eyes

and be born of a new light.

Wake up and smell the aroma

of defeat and no more places to turn.

Leave everything behind,

oh sleeper, this is how it has to be.

Walking amongst the dead,

I no longer can swim in

the pestilence and pride

of all those who...well we know who.

Arise! All of you

who had nothing to hope for

until I reached out and grabbed your hand.

This is a rescue.

This is where your plea gets heard.

I will not leave you,

if you only would reach for me.

O' sleeping vessel,

take off that mask and

be who you were meant to be.

Arise, in me

Interesting; it isn't easy winning the fight within, not easy at all but I like the inspirational feel of your words as they flow

    Bravo!

    This packed a serious punch, such emotion behind your words. The last lines...I mean WOW;
    "I will not leave you,
if only you would reach for me...
Arise, in me" that's incredible. Best of luck, amazing job with this ♥Rhi

Good stuff! It sounds very prophetic. One change I'd make is from "oh" to "O", as the former is an interjection, and the latter used in the address.

    Passionate!

Intensely passionate. It speaks volumes in of itself. If it were I you were writing about, I would be honored. Fantastic work. Mandie
