Where will you be
At world's end?
With family? With friends?
I'll be waiting
Where sky and sea meet
On white sands
At black water's edge
With waves to serenade me
And the sea breeze to comfort me
Embrace me
Alone
Waiting for the end
For you
What will you do
At world's end?
Panic? Pray?
I'll be there
On the ashen beach
Where the wind tells stories
Of days past
And the ocean creeps, slithers
Onto the shore
Hungry, growling
Impatient
Longing for the end
For me
And maybe
When you find me, if you find me,
At world's end
We can stand together,
With a smile, to greet
Oblivion
Author notes
My ex-boyfriend wrote a lovely poem in response to this, back when we were together... I miss him a lot... But I'll deal with it, I suppose...

They always seem to think that it will last forever.
Tis such a sad thing sometimes, when you read such a poem as this and know that it no longer exists.
Another really great write though.
