On the wall behind the sofa is a picture of my room
And the picture on the wall is of the wall
In the picture of the wall you can see a picture loom
Though the picture in the picture's rather small
In the picture in the picture there's a picture of my room
Though this picture's hardly visible at all
If I had a perfect microscope and set it up to zoom
You could see the picture's perfect of the wall
You may wonder why a picture of a picture in a room
Is the sort of thing I'd want to own at all
But if I had no such picture it would be my dismal doom
Not to write this silly poem on my wall!
