elastic spines, from dreams, wrap

and now he lays
worthless as frayed wire, his mind
chained
with one weak link, breaking
and his magic fingers linger
temporarily
knotted

You have presented images that are hard realities to many. I wanted more in this one but with word limit, I understand. This is quite powerful and at the end I am asking...
What happened? What made this happen?
Excellent work. Thinking work. Valued work. Thank you for this amazing entry. Well done. ~Pamela
